Learning Journey São Paulo Program offer an immersion in various aspects of the Brazilian business and society, such as: cultural and social; environment and sustainability; legal aspects; economics and the market and government relations.
São Paulo is One of the most global metropolises on the planet. Latin America’s economic engine and a bustling and diverse cultural center. In 2023, the city achieved 14th place in the global prosperity ranking of “World’s Best Cities”. This ranking takes into account the number of Global 500 corporate head offices, GDP per capita, unemployment rate and income equality.
The Program will enable to meet the shifting needs of global business, particularly to gain insight into the challenges and opportunities that doing business in an emerging market creates.

Methodology
Our program is designed as a custom program - the content and teaching methodologies are developed around the particular needs of State Grid, in order to provide participants with knowledge, skills and insights to successfully invest and operate in or with emerging economies, like Brazil, or to implement new practices in their own business environment.
Themes
Culture, Society and History of Brazil: Understanding the formation of the Brazilian community, the natives and the Brazilian society. Its history from the times of Portuguese colonization to the present. Going through the processes of mineral exploration, industrialization and economic growth.
Environment and Sustainability: Broaden your gaze on a country with one of the largest biodiversity in the world. Mining and natural riches and many challenges regarding balance and production with sustainability. Connect the challenges with the reality of mobile and global companies that guide their governance based on the precepts of ESG.
Legal Aspects: Processes and legal aspects for bureaucratic traffic in the country; Tax and legal aspects and access to credit; labor legal aspects and system functioning;
Government Relations: Broaden the look and understanding of the functioning of government relations in Brazil for all strategic decision and business operations. Challenges of the link society, business and government and paths for decision-making and influence for discussion with decision makers in matters that are of interest to social and economic actors.
Economics and Market: Better understand of the potential of this huge country and its contradictions. The Brazilian reality opens issues linked, on the one hand, to the strong increase in commodities globally and aggressive growth of Brazilian agriculture, high level of investment in infrastructure in the country, and on the other hand, growing public debt and high level of unemployment in the country. It is configured, in general balance, as an attractive market for companies due to its diversity of industries, abundance of natural resources and an expressive consumer market.
Global citizens, leaders of organizations and students who share the will to become agents of change for the creation of a sustainable future. Participants from different countries, fields of study and practices are welcome.
